The Tide project is a unique fusion restaurant situated in the serene coastal area of Bangsaray Beach, close to Pattaya city. The restaurant's architectural design is inspired by the natural surroundings and emulates the rolling beach with textures of sand and sea stones found on the coastline, as well as the rough and rocky seashores.

Concept / Inspiration

The project's central geometric form emulates the shape of pebbles, which are used as the foundation for the outdoor dining platforms. These pebble shapes are connected to create a terraced area that is covered by elliptical sun shading canopies. In addition to their structural role, the full-sized pebble shapes also act as large planters, providing a lush green oasis above the terrace level.

Layout & Plan

The restaurant comprises four distinct areas, with an open-air lounge featuring an elliptical pebble-shaped canopy that provides shade to the seating area. The main interior dining area is a minimalistic, cavernous space that faces the sea, creating a surreal dining experience. The internal green court space connects the main seating area to the furthest section, which boasts a spacious court area with a wide, pebble-shaped handwashing stand exposed to the outdoors. Wooden lavatory pods are provided for ultimate comfort and luxury.

On the upper level, a rooftop lounge seating space surrounded by tall trees offers natural shade to the seating area. The long continuous seating profile pod design makes it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the spectacular views of the coast in the evening hours until late. This space is also suitable for hosting events such as private parties, cocktail receptions, and corporate events.

The landscape design of the restaurant features a recurring pebble elements, deliberately repeated throughout the project to unify and enhance the overall design concept. The smaller pebbles seamlessly connect with the building's primary pebbles, facilitating a seamless integration between the landscape and the restaurant's architectural language. The green pebble planter creates a lush and vibrant green envelope that encircles the restaurant, introducing an element of biophilia and enlivening the sensory experience.

With its unique design, The Tide restaurant is set to become a notable addition to the architectural landscape of Bangsaray Beach.
